Secrets 9

Elizabeth was up on the examining table with wet gooey stuff on her abdomen and the doctor was moving the wand over her and they were looking at the screen next to Elizabeth. Several moves with the wand and then surprise there was a BABY on the screen. True it was little but you could see the head and the body. Elizabeth was so excited seeing the baby and it was getting bigger and more like a person everyday.
"OMG Lizzie you have an alien growing inside of you" laughed Michael. Elizabeth smack him hard on the arm.
"Ouch that hurt Elizabeth!"
"You so deserved that for the dumb alien comment. It was not funny at all and if you are smart you will keep your day job, Michael."
"I thought it was funny."
"Whatever Michael. Doctor Williams is my baby doing ok?"
"Yes Elizabeth the baby looks good. Would you like to hear the heart beating?"
"OMG yes please" Elizabeth said excitedly!
The doctor turned a few buttons on the machine and the all of a sudden they heard the baby's heart beat. It was like the most amazing music to Elizabeth and Michael's ears. They looked at each other and smiled.
"Oh Elizabeth before I forget I will print off pictures of the baby off this ultrasound" said Doctor Williams.
"Thank you doctor."
Finally Elizabeth got the goo cleaned off of her and then she fix herself up they headed out from the doctors. They had several pictures of the baby thanks to the doctor.

In the car heading back home, Elizabeth was staring at picture of her baby. It was so amazing to think he or she was growing and would be born before too long. As she looked at the pictures she thought about what her mom and said to her and the tears started and she tried to stop then before Michael noticed but it was too late.
"Hey Lizzie why are you crying?"
"I...uh...why...she."
"Oh you are thinking of you mom and what she said to you. You are a strong person and maybe she will rethink things and want to get to know our child."
"Yeah I am praying that maybe dad will talk to her and make her understand. I really want to know why she is so set in her ways sometimes. I know she taught me well but I fell in love and obviously 'Baby Bumpkin' kinda happened."
"Oh and boy was it fun making 'Baby Bumkin'" laughed Michael. That earned Michael another swat on his arm from Elizabeth.
"Oh brother you are such a guy, Michael."
"Ouch man what's up with hitting me today Lizzie."
"Oh take it like a man Michael. And you deserved it again. But do you need a kiss to make you feel better?" joked Elizabeth.
"Actually I do" Michael smirked. They park the car and got out and Michael walked over to Elizabeth and she leaned into Michael and kissed him deeply.
"Now my arm feels much better" laughed Michael holding Elizabeth close to him.
"I am happy that your arm is better because of my kiss" joked Elizabeth as they headed into the condo.

Finally they got home and went to the condo. They both were ready to just sit on the sofa and chill for a little while. Michael had swim practice that evening and Elizabeth was going to go and watch. They turned on the tv and decided to relax until it was time to get ready for the pool.
